Bottom line
- Sidecar caption passthrough for IMF and MP4 exports. You can now export .SRT, .STL, or .VTT files simultaneously without re-encoding the video.
- Burn-in styling parity: Embedded Premiere Pro caption styles (font, size, drop shadow, background opacity) now render identically in AME. Previously, bold text would sometimes render as regular.
- New 708 caption support for broadcast delivery (XDCAM, AS-11).
- Sony BURANO (X-OCN 8K): AME now properly interprets the dual-base ISO metadata when transcoding to ProRes.
- Nikon Z 8 / Z 9 (N-RAW): High-efficiency N-RAW (5.4K and 8.3K) is now supported without third-party plugins. Note: This is decode-only; you cannot encode to N-RAW.
- RED V-RAPTOR XL (REDCODE RAW 16-bit): Improved debayering speed on Apple Silicon (Metal-accelerated now, versus OpenCL fallback in 24.5).
- Blackmagic PYXIS 6K: Blackmagic RAW 3.0 clips (including the new “Constant Quality 10” setting) are recognized correctly.
