This paper examines the Liliana Model Sets 01–89, a serial body of work in contemporary figure-based art modeling that blends commercial reference photography, 3D scan datasets, and curated pose libraries for artists. I define the series’ scope, contextualize its development within reference resource evolution, analyze aesthetic and practical attributes across the 89 sets, discuss technical and ethical considerations (consent, licensing, diversity, and usage), and propose best-practice recommendations for artists, educators, and developers using such model sets. The paper concludes with suggestions for future research and an appendix with a standardized evaluation rubric.
