2.6 !!link!! — Ashtech Solutions

Ashtech Solutions 2.6

is a legacy post-processing software suite designed for the management and analysis of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) data. Originally developed by Ashtech (later acquired by Thales Navigation and Magellan), this software was a staple for surveyors and engineers using Ashtech precision products for high-accuracy applications such as GIS data collection, civil engineering, and marine surveying. Core Functionality of Ashtech Solutions 2.6

2. Seamless Data Interoperability

Data Processing & Adjustment:

The software allows for constrained adjustments (e.g., using "Run | Adjust F7") to align field observations with known control points. Ashtech Solutions 2.6

3. The "Smart-Project" Dashboard

  1. Always record at 1 Hz or higher: Even for static surveys, 1-second epochs allow better cycle-slip detection than 15-second epochs.
  2. Use a base station distance under 30 km: While the software claims 100 km, baselines over 30 km with single-frequency data will degrade to float solutions.
  3. Process baselines twice: Process the same baseline with different elevation masks. If the results agree within 1 cm horizontally and 2 cm vertically, the solution is robust.
  4. Keep a standard operating procedure (SOP): Document your processing settings (e.g., iono-free on/off, tropospheric model used) for future reference and defensibility in court or client reports.
