Avery Berkel L126 Calibration Guide: Ensuring Accurate Weighing Performance

3. Entering Calibration Mode

The Avery Berkel L126 uses a strain gauge load cell. When you place an item on the platter, the load cell bends microscopically, changing its electrical resistance. The scale’s PCB converts this resistance change into a digital weight reading. Over time, the mechanical properties of the load cell can change, or the reference voltage can drift.
