The film industry has long celebrated the "young ingenue" while relegating women over 45 to stereotypical roles (matriarchs, grandmothers, or comic relief). Despite box office evidence proving that films led by mature women perform strongly, systemic ageism and gender bias persist. This paper proposes a three-pillar strategy: Content Reformation , Production Inclusion , and Distribution Equity to unlock the economic and cultural value of mature women in entertainment.
