While there is no single universal password for CutMate 2.3 , the "installation password" typically refers to the license key
You have a password, but the installer keeps rejecting it. Try these solutions:
Step 3 – Contact official support.
Go to the official CutMate website or your distributor’s support page. Provide:
- Email confirmation: Check the inbox used during purchase. Look for the subject line: "Your CutMate 23 License Key & Installation Password."
- Product box / CD sleeve: Printed on a sticker inside the jewel case or on the back of the manual.
- Distributor portal: If bought through a reseller, log into their customer portal.
- USB dongle (older versions): Some legacy licenses require a hardware dongle that auto-fills the password.
Because this is proprietary, paid software, JETCAM protects its intellectual property through a hardware lock (dongle) or a software-based license key (installation password). Without this password, the installation will not proceed beyond the initial setup wizard.

2. Company Transition
- Treat the installation password like any administrative credential: record it, secure it, and, if possible, change it during setup.
- Use a password manager or secure record — not a sticky note stuck to the device.
- If acquiring a used CutMate 23, require the seller to provide the installation password or perform a factory reset in front of you with proof of ownership.
- For organizations deploying many units, centralize credential management and include installation passwords in asset onboarding checklists.
- When in doubt, contact authorized support with the device serial number rather than attempting unofficial workarounds that could void warranty.
