Note:
Before proceeding, please be aware that Visual Studio 2013 is legacy software. Microsoft ended mainstream support for it in 2018. If you are starting a new project, it is highly recommended to download Visual Studio 2022 Community instead, which is free and supports modern C++, .NET, and web standards.

Step 1: Navigate to the Official Archive

- Tip: Uncheck everything you don't need to save disk space and installation time. If you only need C++, select just "Programming Languages > Visual C++".
- Restart the system if prompted.
- Launch Visual Studio 2013 and sign in with a Microsoft account if required for license activation (Community editions often require sign-in after a trial period).
- Update via Help → About → Check for Updates, or apply Visual Studio 2013 Update 5 (the final major update) if available.
- Install commonly used extensions (NuGet Package Manager, productivity tools) via Tools → Extensions and Updates.
