Unlike the standard game, which requires a standalone launcher and the Java Runtime Environment (JRE), Eaglercraft was built using TeaVM , an ahead-of-time compiler for Java bytecode. This technology allowed developers to transpile Java code into JavaScript/WebAssembly, enabling the game to run natively in a web browser via HTML5.
