Because this chipset is ubiquitous, the “F998 sound card software” is almost always a modified version of the generic or Xear 3D software.

Problem: “No device connected” inside Xear Audio Center

Advanced Features:

• No ASIO support for music production.
• No independent volume control for front vs rear channels (it is all virtual).
• No 64-bit drivers for modern DAWs – but for gaming and Discord, it is fine.

• Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
• Find your sound card under "Sound, video and game controllers."
• Right-click on it, select "Update driver," and then search automatically for updated driver software.
