Fanuc parameter is used within the servo parameters of Fanuc 16/18/21 (and later) controls, specifically relating to backlash compensation .

So why the alarm?
The maximum stable 1860 is the highest speed at which the axis stops within 1-2 encoder counts every time. Back off by 10-15% for margin. 1860 Fanuc parameter is used within the servo

If 1860 is set equal to or higher than the rapid speed of that axis, the control will not decelerate properly. The axis may overshoot the dog, fail to find the marker, and trigger alarm or PS0091 (Zero point not found) . Save the Changes : Press the "SAVE" key
Cause:
The spindle drive did not achieve the commanded orientation within the allowed time (Parameter 1862 sets the timeout). Most often, 1860 is too low (weak gain) or too high (hunting oscillation prevents settling).
