The Premise:
Miko must live with three other band members while keeping her true identity a secret. This leads to a complicated love triangle and various comedic "identity-crisis" situations. Plot Overview Ikemen Desu Ne (He is Beautiful)
- Sakuraba Miko (played by Takimoto Miori): The heroine. Unlike the manic energy of the Korean original's Go Mi-nyeo, Miori plays Miko with a slightly more grounded, stoic vibe (befitting a nun), though she retains the character's inherent clumsiness and purity.
- Fujishiro Ren (played by Tamamori Yuta): The "Korean Tae-kyung" equivalent. Ren is the moody, perfectionist leader of A.N.JELL. He initially dislikes Miko/Mio but eventually falls for her, confusing his own sexuality in the process. Tamamori's portrayal is prickly but vulnerable.
- Fujishiro Shu (played by Fujigaya Taisuke): The "Korean Shin-woo" equivalent. Shu is the gentle, smiling prince who falls for Miko early on. He becomes the "guardian angel" figure, often protecting her in secret. Fans of the "Second Lead Syndrome" trope often struggle choosing between Ren and Shu.
- Hongo Yuki (played by Yaotome Hikaru): The "Korean Jeremy" equivalent. Yuki is the energetic, innocent mood-maker of the group. He is confused when he finds himself attracted to "Mio," leading to some of the show's funniest comedic moments.
