Kingdom Come- Deliverance Ii -language Packs- Review
This guide outlines how to access, download, and configure language packs for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
For PC (Steam)
- Dynamic NPC Language Flags: Every NPC has a primary language (Czech, German, Latin, or a mix). If Henry’s language skill in that tongue is low, subtitles will appear as garbled, unreadable symbols or mistranslated gibberish.
- The “Lingua Franca” Mode: A new difficulty option. When enabled, NPCs will refuse to give quests, haggle fairly, or share secrets if Henry cannot speak their language. A German knight might attack you for not replying in German. A Latin scribe will literally ignore you.
- Learning Languages: Henry can learn new languages by spending time in regions, reading books, or hiring tutors. This is a new main skill (separate from Speech or Charisma). Mastering German unlocks the entire underground economy of the Kuttenberg mining district. Mastering Latin allows you to argue theology with monks and forge legal documents.
- Click on the game tile in your library.
- Click the three dots (...) and select Manage Add-ons.
- Enable the language packs you require.
- The launcher will patch the files.
Depending on your platform, managing your language settings is straightforward. On PC (Steam/Epic Games Store) Kingdom Come- Deliverance II -Language Packs-
