1. Introduction: What is “LTE HMonitor UPD”?

  • Increase TTT for a fast-moving UE on a cell edge to avoid ping-pong.
  • Adjust CIO for a specific neighbor pair if too many early/late handovers occur.
  • Trigger handover to a different frequency layer if current layer is overloaded.

Automated Tasks & Schedules:

You can schedule router restarts, Wi-Fi activation/deactivation, or data usage limits.

  1. Reduce measCycle to 40 ms for cells flagged as “high-speed rail”.
  2. Enable s-Measure to disable serving cell measurement when RSRP > -80 dBm to save power.
  3. Use UE-reported velocity (via GPS or Doppler estimation) to dynamically adjust UPD.
  1. Download the latest firmware from the chipset vendor (HiSilicon).
  2. Access the web page 192.168.8.1/html/update.html.
  3. Upload the UPDATE.BIN file containing the HMonitor patches.
  4. Note: This is often called "Mobile Wi-Fi Update."
