Since the release of Norton versions and 25.x , a traditional "one-click" full offline installer is no longer officially provided as a standalone download. Norton has transitioned to smaller "stub" or "web-based" installers that download core components during the installation process to ensure you receive the most current security definitions.
Begin Installation:
Click Install . The process will take 2-5 minutes depending on your hard drive speed. No internet is required during this phase.
Run as Administrator:
Right-click the offline installer file and select Run as Administrator . This ensures the installer can modify system drivers and registry keys.

Even if you don't need it now, download the offline installer and save it to an external hard drive. When your internet goes down or your PC gets hijacked, your future self will thank you.
