Onkyo HT-R695 Firmware Update: A Step-by-Step Guide

Fixed HDMI 2.0 HDCP 2.2 handshake issues with 4K Apple TV and PS4 Pro.
Improved Chromecast built-in audio sync.
Resolved network standby power consumption.
Corrected Dolby Atmos metadata decoding in certain streaming apps.
Added compatibility with the Onkyo Controller app (iOS/Android).

Onkyo HT-R695

To update the firmware on your receiver, you can use either a network connection or a USB drive. Keeping your firmware current fixes bugs, improves stability, and enhances features like TIDAL and TuneIn Radio . Before You Start

Prepare the USB Flash Drive: Insert the USB flash drive into your computer and format it to FAT16 or FAT32.
Create a Firmware Update Folder: Create a new folder on the USB flash drive and name it "update."
Copy the Firmware File: Copy the downloaded firmware file to the "update" folder.
Connect the USB Flash Drive to the Receiver: Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port on the back of the Onkyo HT-R695 receiver.
Turn on the Receiver: Turn on the receiver and select the "Setup" menu.
Select the Firmware Update Option: Navigate to "Hardware Setup" > "Firmware Update" and select "Update via USB."
Start the Update Process: The receiver will detect the firmware file on the USB flash drive and prompt you to start the update process. Select "Yes" to begin.
Wait for the Update to Complete: The update process may take several minutes to complete. Do not turn off the receiver or remove the USB flash drive during this time.
Restart the Receiver: Once the update is complete, the receiver will automatically restart.

Select the Setup Menu: Go to the "Setup" menu on your Onkyo HT-R695 receiver.
Check the Firmware Version: Navigate to "Hardware Setup" > "Firmware Update" and check the firmware version.

"Completed!"

Note: If "Firmware Update" is grayed out, wait a few minutes for the system to fully boot up. Wait for the front panel to display . onkyo ht-r695 firmware update
