- Wild Pokémon: A Rattata on Route 1 could be a Gible. A Magikarp in Virbank City could be a Deoxys.
- Trainer Pokémon: Gym Leaders and rivals get completely new teams. Beating Clay might require defeating a Volcarona or a Metagross.
- Static Encounters: The Volcarona in Relic Castle? It could be a Rayquaza.
- Items: Poké Balls might become Master Balls. Potions could become Rare Candies.
