Zanimljivost: Mnogi hrvatski gledatelji prvi put su čuli imena poput (Čarmander), "Squirtle" (Skirtl) i "Bulbasaur" (Bulbazaur) upravo kroz ovu sinkronizaciju.
Ključni trenutak događa se kada ih napadne jato divljih (na hrvatskom možda prevedeno kao Šiljokljuni ili slično, ovisno o adaptaciji). Ash riskira vlastitu sigurnost kako bi zaštitio Pikachua, govoreći mu da uđe u Poké loptu. Pikachu, dirnut Ashovom hrabrošću, skače ispred njega i ispali moćni električni udar koji tjera Spearowe u bijeg.
