Installation Procedure

To license SheetCam TNG, you must install a specific license file—typically named license.dat or similarly—which is emailed to you upon purchase. This file removes the G-code limit of the trial version, allowing for full project exports.

1. Open SheetCam.
2. Go to Help > About.
3. Click Show Machine ID.
4. Copy this long string of text and send it to the license provider. They will generate a new license.dat for your new hardware.

User workflow and lifecycle

• Do not share your license file – It contains machine-specific data, but sharing can violate the EULA and may lead to deactivation.
• Back it up – Save a copy of the original .dat file (as received in email) to a USB drive or cloud storage.
• Keep the email with your license details – The license file alone cannot be regenerated from a lost key; you’ll need proof of purchase.
