Swapna Shastra (Dream Interpretation) — Complete Guide in English
Table of Contents
Instead of asking “What does this dream mean?” – Ask “What energy was alive in me when I woke up?”
- Keep a Dream Diary: Place a notebook next to your bed. The moment you wake up (preferably before dawn), write down the dream. Memory of dreams fades within 10 minutes of waking.
- Check the Time: If you woke up at 11:00 PM from a nightmare, Swapna Shastra suggests ignoring it. Check the timestamp of your dream against the three time zones listed above.
- Look for "Phala" (The Fruit): The PDF will give you the result (Phala). Don't panic if it is negative. The texts always include a Shanti (remedy) section.
- Perform Remedies: If you see a bad dream (e.g., falling into mud), the remedy is usually: Wake up, look at your own right hand (palm), chant the Gayatri Mantra 11 times, or sprinkle water on your head. Do not tell anyone the bad dream until noon.
