Tokyo Ghoul Jail English Translation -
The Ghost in the Machine: Unlocking the Jail
Tokyo Ghoul Background
4.1. Text Translations and Guides
- The Script: Over 50,000 lines of text. For context, that’s about the length of a light novel trilogy. The team has translated the main "Jail" route (Rio’s story) to roughly 85% completion.
- The Technical Nightmare: The Vita is dead in the water. Sony doesn't support it. This means patching the game requires a modded Vita or a high-end emulator (Vita3K). It’s not "drag and drop" yet.
- The UI Problem: The game uses a proprietary font that doesn't support Latin characters well. Translators have had to literally rebuild the game’s text engine to fit English letters without crashing the game.
Bandai Namco’s legal team sent letters to Marcus and the modding Discord. The project was shut down. The patch was delisted.
That is, until the knights in shining armor (wearing eyepatches) showed up. Tokyo Ghoul Jail English Translation
