Here’s a write-up explaining —what they are, how they work, and how to use them in music production.

• Method: Set the carrier to a white noise generator or a filtered saw wave. Set the modulator to your dry vocal. Use 40 bands (low resolution).

Ring Modulator

• Method: Load a long, droning supersaw pad into the carrier. Speak a rhythmic phrase into the modulator. Turn the Attack and Release knobs on Vocodex to high values (smoothing).
• Result: You don’t hear words; you hear a pad that breathes in the rhythm of human speech. This is a secret weapon for cinematic breakdowns.
