Dtc P0560 Renault [extra Quality] 📌
DTC P0560
The code on a Renault indicates a System Voltage Malfunction . Essentially, the Engine Control Unit (ECU) has detected that the battery voltage is outside the normal range—typically either too low (below 10V) or too high (above 16V) while the engine is running.
- P0620 (Generator control circuit)
- P1607 (ECU internal voltage fault – Renault specific)
- U0422 (Invalid data from BCM – indicates BSM/BPGA issue).
- OBD-II Scanner
- Multimeter (Voltmeter)
- Battery Load Tester (optional)
- Clear DTCs using diagnostic tool.
- Perform a “sleep & wake” test – Ignition OFF, lock vehicle, wait 3 minutes, restart.
- Monitor live voltage for 5 minutes at idle and 2500 RPM.
- Verify no return of P0560 after two drive cycles (Renault’s OBD II readiness requires two cold starts).
Step 4: Check the Alternator Command (Renault-Specific)
DTC P0560 is a diagnostic trouble code that indicates a problem with the system voltage of your Renault vehicle. The code is triggered when the vehicle's engine control module (ECM) detects an abnormal voltage reading from the battery or the electrical system. This code is also known as "System Voltage" or "Voltage Regulator" code. dtc p0560 renault
8. Special Note: Renault Zoe (Electric Vehicle)
- Stalling while driving (if voltage drops enough).
- Transmission damage (on automatics).
- Failed ECU (from prolonged overvoltage).
